Elderwood of Lakeside earns Five-Star Medicare rating

Elderwood of Lakeside at Brockport, a subacute rehabilitation and long-term care community at 170 West Avenue, Brockport, has earned a Five-Star rating from Medicare.gov. The rating is based on statistics compiled by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services using the facility’s internal reports and care plans, staffing information and results of New York State health inspections, with a focus on quality of care.

“We are thrilled that Medicare.gov has confirmed what we at Elderwood have always known — that we provide quality, caring and supportive services for our residents and patients,” said Administrator Kimberly Klinetob.

The skilled nursing care community features subacute rehabilitation therapy for individuals recovering from accident, injury, illness or elective and orthopedic surgery. Physical, occupational and speech therapy, IV therapy and wound therapy are among the services available.

“We are fortunate to retain a stable and robust workforce, enabling us to meet the needs of all our residents. Our team has worked diligently to attain a high level of care,” Klinetob said. “As an administrator, I know that the five star rating is a testament to our cohesive, caring and dedicated team.”

The former Lakeside Beikirch Care Center became part of the Elderwood group of nursing facilities on January 1, 2018. For more information, visit www.elderwood.com.
