Brockport firefighters have supported the New York Wounded Warrior Alliance for many years and this year is no exception. Each year, a reminder goes out to local firefighters coordinated by the Chili Fire Department to provide clothing, toiletries and things that might make a hospital stay for our wounded service men and women easier to take. And each year, volunteers from your Volunteer Firefighters Association in Brockport step up for the program.

This year, your firefighters donated over $1,000 in clothing and gift cards. “We are pleased to present our donation on Veteran’s Day to past Battalion Chief James Lechner from Chili Fire Department. This project is for the Vets and their families. We are proud to support those who serve all of us. It is part of what we do as volunteers,” said Association President Michael Corey as he presented the gift cards to Chief Lechner.
