Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Kelly to speak at Brockport Dec. 3

Jim Kelly is coming to The College at Brockport – the former Buffalo Bills quarterback and Pro Football Hall of Famer has been invited by Brockport Student Government to deliver a lecture at 9:30 p.m. on December 3 in Brockport’s Special Events Recreation Center (SERC).

Kelly will talk about the need to persevere through life’s challenging moments. He will discuss the various obstacles he’s had to overcome on and off the field, including his recent battle with cancer and the loss of his son, Hunter.

“Jim Kelly is such a huge name and is someone that so many people look up to,” said Brockport Student Government Programming Director Ted Ryan. “Not only will it be a great lecture, but we hope that his visit will mean a lot sentimentally to people across Western New York.”

Kelly’s lecture is open to the public. Tickets cost $5 for College at Brockport students, $10 for Brockport faculty/staff, and $15 for the general public. Tickets are limited to four per person and can be purchased online or by visiting the Brockport Student Government box office inside the Seymour College Union.

All proceeds benefit the Hunter’s Hope Foundation. The College at Brockport, State University of New York is located at 350 New Campus Drive, Brockport, (585) 395-2754, Fax 585-395-2723 www.brockport.edu
