Morgan-Manning House presents “Building Futures”

The Morgan-Manning House will present the topic, “Building Futures” on Thursday, January 14 at 151 Main Street in Brockport. The free program, sponsored by the Western Monroe Historical Society, begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by free refreshments.
Founding director Adam Jablonski will discuss the work of Building Futures, Inc., building classrooms and other sustainable developments in Kenya.

Established in 2007, Building Futures, Inc.,  can be described as “an organization dedicated to improving educational opportunities in the African nation.”

“Our group accomplishes this through building or rebuilding schools,” Jablonski said. “What I believe to be our crowning achievement was the construction of a health clinic compound that became a small hospital when the project was completed in early 2014.”

Jablonski lives in Fairport with his wife Andrea.  They have three children ages 20 to 24. The entire family has been active within the organization both in Kenya and here in the U.S.

In case of inclement weather, the presentation will take place on January 21. For more information, call 637-3645.
