Tickets are now on sale for the 20th Annual Armed Forces Day Luncheon on Saturday, May 21 at the Diplomat Party House, 1956 Lyell Avenue, Gates.
Armed Forces Day honors the men and women who have served, or are serving, all over the world in the U.S. Armed Forces. This year, Armed Forces Day takes on a very special meaning as so many of the military serve in some of the most dangerous places on earth in support of the War on Terrorism.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with displays, pre-luncheon concert by the 198th Army Band and information from various veteran and military organizations. Lunch will begin at noon followed by guest speaker Brigadier General John G. Baker, USMC, Chief Defense Counsel, Military Commissions Defense Organization. The Honorary Chair is Todd Baxter, executive director of Veterans Outreach Center, Inc.
Tickets cost $25 per person, $12 for ROTC cadets and children, 12 and under, and $250 for a sponsor table of eight. For reservations, call (800) 845-2412.
