Shining a light on Civil War Soldiers

The Gates Historical Society is honored to have Vicki Masters Profitt, Director of the Fairport Historical Museum, presenting the history of Monroe County residents who fought in the Civil War.

Hear a prisoner of war’s own story as told through his war-time diary.  Learn the fates of three brothers who served in the Union Army.  Discover a Civil War nurse who became a charter member of an organization that is still in existence today.

The presentation will be on Monday, September 19, at the Gates Town Annex, 1605 Buffalo Road, Gates starting at 7 p.m.
