Christmas on the Canal celebrates 21 years

It’s time to gear up for the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is coming to the quaint Village of Spencerport on Sunday, December 4 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Union Street. Our 21st year of holiday fun will soon arrive as our Christmas on the Canal event ushers in the season.

Once again, it’s horse drawn Hayrides and Carriage rides, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, a free Children’s Activity Tent, a Living Nativity, Entertainment on the Bandstand, Food, Shopping and good old Christmas spirit. The church bells toll at 5 p.m. signaling our gathering at the gazebo on the canal for our community Tree Lighting, followed by our one mile Candlelight Caroling Stroll led by horse and wagon with candles aglow.  Bundle up and come out to have some old fashioned fun with us, but first close your eyes and make a wish for the magic of Christmas to continue in Spencerport village.

Please remember that this cherished traditional event could not continue yearly without the financial support of generous people such as yourselves. We thank you in advance for your consideration and will call with a personal “thank you” if you choose to provide us with your number.  You may send a check or money order to:  Christmas on the Canal, P.O. Box 177, Spencerport, New York 14559; The COTC Committee and Elaine Spaziano, Founder/Chairperson, 727-8447.
