“Ladies Night”

Sara’s Garden Center held their second “Ladies’ Night,” an evening event of shopping and fundraising, December 7. Raffle tickets were given to attendees who brought in donations; they were asking for items that are rarely turned in (feminine care products, laundry detergents, personal care items, coffee, hearty soups). They used the evening to introduce their customers to other small businesses: two wineries, an organic tea company, a bakery, a wine glass painter and a chocolate maker. The vendors donate a raffle item of their choice (gift card or merchandise), and provide samples for the ladies to enjoy during the event. It was a fun way to reach potential new customers, and reinforce the benefits of buying local, while helping a local cause.
