Friends of Hamlin Public Library seek donations for book sale

The Friends of the Hamlin Public Library will have a book sale at the Hamlin Public Library, 1680 Lake Road on Thursday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Prices include $1 for hardcover books, 50¢ for paperback books, 25¢ for children’s books and $1 for DVDs. A $3 bag sale will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12 to 1 p.m. unsold items are free.

The Friends ask for donations of adult fiction books, all children’s books, DVDs and audio books that are clean, fairly new and in good condition. Unfortunately, at this time they are not accepting donations of nonfiction books. Bring donations to the library during regular business hours: Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Proceeds from the Friends of the Hamlin Library book sale go towards the children’s Summer Reading program for the library, additional programming throughout the year and pay for library needs not covered from other sources.

The Friends of the Hamlin Public Library meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Hamlin Public Library.  For more details, call the Library at 964-2320.
