Experienced firm or individual sought to plan and design nature-based shoreline

The Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District has released a Request for Qualifications seeking an experienced firm or qualified individual to plan and design a nature-based shoreline project along a reach of shoreline of Irondequoit Bay in Irondequoit Bay Park West. The shoreline and adjacent road in Irondequoit Bay Park West has encountered damages from high water and flooding events from 2017 mainly due to erosion and settling along the road. The District is collaborating with the Monroe County Parks Department on this project to enhance shoreline stability and increase flood resilience through the use of bioengineering and nature-based stabilization techniques.

To be considered for this project, all qualifications must be submitted by December 7, 2018.
