On April 17, Seymour Library TLC (Teen Library Corps) member Victoria Loveridge and BRATS (Brilliant Readers Active in Teen Service) member Joshua Sauers met with Brockport Teen Closet Coordinator Robin Donahue to present funds raised for the Brockport Teen Closet. The two groups combined raised a total of $415 at their annual read-a-thons during the TLC and BRATS lock-in sleepovers with Loveridge and Sauers being the top two fundraisers. Ms. Donahue said that the funds will be used for undergarments and the amount raised will provide four months’ worth of undergarments.

The two groups have typically raised funds for the Teen Book Festival, but due to the festival being on hiatus this year, the teen advisory boards decided to collect money for the Brockport Teen Closet instead.

The Teen Closet, at Brockport First Baptist Church, 124 Main Street, offers free clothing, shoes and accessories, in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, to local teens on the third Sunday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m., or by appointment if needed. Prom attire is also available.
