Stranded on Thin Ice - CopyThe book Stranded on Thin Ice by Kendall author Sharon CassanoLochman won in the Action/Adventure category of the 2019 annual IndieReader Discovery Awards (IRDAs) at Book Expo America (BEA)/Book Con, a major trade show in New York City.

IndieReader launched the IRDAs in order to help worthy indie authors get the attention of top indie professionals, with the goal of reaching more readers. Judges included notable publishers, agents, publicists and bloggers.

He resents becoming responsible for Richie, a newcomer who doesn’t know how to dress for cold weather or bait a fishhook. But struggling to overcome unexpected dangers, the boys discover that friendship is the best prize in this fast paced, well-written suspense story appropriate for third graders on up.”
