Summer programs and special events at the Parma Public Library

Registration is open and ongoing for “A Universe of Stories,” the Parma Public Library’s 2019 Summer Reading Program for kids from birth through sixth grade. Reading logs and program rules may be picked up any time during library hours. Children will be able to earn small prizes throughout the summer for reading and weekly raffles will take place for larger prizes. Those interested can also sign up for fun craft programs.

Several Visiting Artists programs sponsored by the Friends of the Parma Public Library are open to the entire family, with no registration required. Professor Klutzo’s Moon Magic Variety Show on Wednesday, July 17 at 11 a.m. The Amazing Magic Joe on Monday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. American Girl Dolls: History of Space! on Thursday, August 1 at 1 p.m. Music with Missy Reed on Monday, August 12 at 10:30 a.m.

An “End of Summer Reading Cookie and Prizes Party” will take place at the Library on Monday, August 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. Missy Reed will be performing at 10:30 a.m. on party day.

In addition: Year Round Storytime for all ages continues on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.; Baby Storytime for ages birth through 18 months continues on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m.; and Sensory Play Time on the last Tuesday of the month from 10:30 to 11 a.m. for ages birth through preschool.
