Free computer science program offered by Monroe County 4-H

This October, Monroe County 4-H will offer a free computer science program supporting the 2019 National Youth Science Day (NYSD) challenge, Game Changers. Game Changers teaches kids ages eight to 14 how to use computer science (CS) to create games, solve problems and engage with topics they are passionate about.

Game Changers uses physical activity and puzzles to teach kids important CS concepts and problem-solving skills, creating real-world connections between computer science and civic engagement, healthy living and agriculture. The challenge includes one computer-based and two unplugged activities to help kids learn CS.

Monroe County 4-H staff will present the program on Monday, October 21, 6:30 p.m., at the Gates Public Library, 902 Elmgrove Road (14624). The program is free and is designed for youth ages eight to 14. Registration is required and space is limited. To register: https://bit.ly/2khlHyy
