Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County (CCE-Monroe) hosts its 2019 Annual Meeting and Program Tour on Thursday, October 24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Roger Robach Community Center, 180 Beach Ave, Rochester. This event includes family-friendly activities that showcase the educational outreach CCE-Monroe is known for.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County provides research-based information and educational programming to ensure the vitality of agriculture, strengthen families, promote health and well-being, responsibly improve home and community landscapes, and enhance our natural environment. Program areas include agriculture education and support, consumer horticulture and gardening, commercial horticulture business support, integrated pest management, 4-H youth development, and nutrition education.

Demonstrations, make and take activities, and educational games offer an evening of fun and learning.  Come identify winter pests under a microscope, learn about nutritious grains, test your squash knowledge, learn about the new laser scarecrow, and more.

A silent auction, light refreshments, and door prizes are also part of the evening’s festivities. Stay for the Annual Meeting from 8 to 8:30 p.m. to hear from the Board President, Foundation Chairperson, and vote for 2020 Board of Directors.

This event is free. Register at https://pub.cce.cornell.edu/event_registration/main/events_landing.cfm?event=2019AnnualMeeting_226
