Genesee Transportation Council seeks public comment

The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) is accepting public input on its draft operating plan and annual budget known as Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) through February 11. A list of proposed transportation planning projects recommended for funding can be viewed at www.gtcmpo.org/news/DraftUPWP.

The operating plan lists the federally funded transportation planning activities that GTC, its member agencies, and other municipalities in the nine-county Genesee-Finger Lakes Region will advance during the next fiscal year.

Transportation planning activities include specific projects and ongoing tasks that reflect the vision of the Long Range Transportation Plan 2040 (LRTP.) Tasks range from community active transportation plans to circulation, accessibility, and parking studies to managing the existing transportation system.

Interested individuals may review the draft UPWP online at www.gtcmpo.org/news/DraftUPWP or in person at the GTC office, various county planning departments, or select public libraries in Rochester. Submit comments in writing to Genesee Transportation Council, 50 West Main Street, Suite 8112, Rochester, NY 14614, or via email to upwp@gtcmpo.org by Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

After GTC committee review and consideration of public comments, the GTC Board will consider the new UPWP at its February 27, 2020 meeting.
