Bright Raven Gymnastics wins in Elmira

All three of Bright Raven Gymnastics USAG Compulsory Teams took first place at the 2013 Elmira Spring Fling Invitational April 13 with several team members winning individual events and placing high in all around competition.

The Level 6 team took first place in a field of four teams with 12-year-old Keilei Latragna of Hilton winning vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam and all around (37.625). Teammate Emma Arnold of Avon was second all around (37.25) in the same age group. In the 13 and over age division, Gabby Costner of Gates took second all around (36.875) and Hannah Krautwurst of Rochester took first place on vault, floor exercise and third all around (36.80). In the 11-year-old competition, Indya Richards of Gates took first place on vault, floor and all around (37.425). Jada Moore of Spencerport was first on the uneven bars in the 7-10 age group.

Bright Raven’s Level 5 team finished first among five teams with Sydney Sack of Spencerport winning first place in floor exercise and all around (37.15) in the 8-10 age division. Emma Taylor, age 8, also of Spencerport, won balance beam and third place all around (36.70). In the 11 year-old competition, Megan Zaharkin of Spencerport was first on bars and all around (37.70) and Emily Field of Greece took second all around (47.675). Jadasia Lee of Gates took first on vault and Elizabeth Ferrari of Spencerport was first on balance beam and floor exercise. In the Level 5 competition for ages 13 and over, Emily Dix of Gates was first on floor exercise and all around (36.70) and Emily Brown of Chili was first on balance beam.

The Bright Raven Level 4 team took first place competing among four teams with 8-year-old Liliana Sack of Spencerport winning vault and placing second all around (37.175). In the 9-year-old division, Morgan Romeis of Chili placed second all around (38.10). In the 10-year-old competition, Grace Vieira of Churchville took first place on vault and all around (38.325). Madison Maas of Churchville was first on bars and Katelyn Burtnick of Chili won balance beam. In the 11 and over age division, Bailee Schirano of Spencerport was first on bars and second all around (38.325), Erica Ellis of Gates won balance beam and Hannah Cuzzupoli of Spencerport placed third all around.
