Grant awarded for feasibility study

The Greater Brockport Development Corporation has been awarded a New York State Technical Assistance Grant of $19,000 for the purpose of developing a feasibility study for 60 Clinton Street.

The feasibility study will encompass a basic market analysis, building site analysis, marketing and funding opportunities as well as a market brochure.

At the present time the Greater Brockport Development Corporation is seeking Request for Professional Services for the purpose of fuffilling the grant specifications. Completion of the grant is scheduled for the end of October.

The Greater Brockport Development Corporation purchased the building at 60 Clinton for the purpose of rehabilitation and restoration. Last year the structure at 60 Clinton received a tax abatement from the Brockport Central School District and also from the Village of Brockport. The corporation is anticipating that with the completion of the grant and with the tax abatements that it will be able to restore the structure to more modern use and to spur the growth of the Clinton Street business district.

The details for the Request for Professional Services for the grant will be available for download at www.growbrockport.org.
