Pets get their paws dirty for a good cause

Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets (G.R.A.S.P., Inc.) will hold a unique art gallery fundraiser called Painted Paws on Saturday, October 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.  Many of the pets, both cats and dogs, have created beautiful canvas art pieces with their paws.

The event takes place in the loft space of Studio 180 (180 St. Paul Street, Rochester 14604) where G.R.A.S.P. will display the entire collection of 50 paintings. People can bid in both silent and live auctions on their favorite pieces.

Come and visit the gallery and enjoy hors d’oeuvres, desserts by Special T Cakes, beer and wine tasting, live music and more.

Presale tickets cost $15/single or $25/couple and may be purchased at Happy Tails Pet Grooming, Pet World, Special T Cakes, and G.R.A.S.P. adoption events  and may also be placed on will call for pick up at the event when paying via Paypal: catapplications@yahoo.com (make sure to note Painted Paws in comments).

G.R.A.S.P. is a local non-profit, all volunteer, animal rescue organization whose primary mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets in Greece by decreasing dog and cat reproduction, promoting responsible pet ownership, and placing homeless dogs and cats into compatible, loving, permanent homes.

For questions regarding this event, contact Denyse Clark at 967-2333. All proceeds benefit the pets G.R.A.S.P. serves.
