New Victorian Gateway made possible for Brockport

The Village of Brockport (Walk Bike Brockport and the Mayor’s Office) is wrapping up its Master Plan for Pedestrian and Biking Traffic in the greater Brockport area. This plan, once implemented, will lead to increased business for Brockport merchants – as demonstrated by research on the effects of plans like this. In addition, it will create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who lives in or drives through the historic Erie Canal Village of Brockport.

As a follow-up to this plan’s completion, the village has launched a new project to transform the Main Street Railroad Bridge into a Victorian Gateway to downtown historic Brockport.

The plan, made possible by a $50,000 grant from the Genessee Transportation Council, requires additional financing.

The village will apply for two grants to supplement needed funds, as well as accept donations through GoFundMe or by mail. Go to the GoFundMe website or write a check. Please send checks to Walk Bike Brockport, Brockport Village Hall, 49 State Street, Brockport, NY 14420.
