The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) advises motorists a section of Route 31 (Fourth Section Road) between West Sweden Road and Route 19 (Lake Road) will close for three days beginning Tuesday, August 9, while a culvert is replaced. It is expected to reopen on Thursday, August 11.
The culvert is located between Hart-shorn Drive and Viking Way just west of Route 19 in the Town of Sweden, Monroe County. Local traffic will be permitted up to the work site from either side.
A posted detour will direct motorists to go south on Route 19 (Lake Road) to White Road to West Sweden Road to bypass the work zone.
