In his letter of thanks to the members of the Smith-Warren Post, Christopher wrote, “Through the entire experience, I can say that I’ve learned more than I could’ve ever imagined.  We were taught specific values like courage and commitment, which we must forever keep close to our hearts.”

The son of Daniel J. and Andrea Barnhoorn, Christopher entered his senior year at Wheatland-Chili High School.  His grandparents are Rebecca M. Barnhoorn of Honeoye and the late Bart J. Barnhoorn, and William and Patricia W. Busch of Brewster, Massachusetts.

For the past two years, Christopher has participated in the “Going The Distance For Kids” 5K Race. He is an Honor Roll student, made Co-Treasurer of his junior class, remains a class representative in Student Council, volunteers for American Legion, participates in ski club, and plays varsity soccer as a mid-fielder. In May, Christopher received awards in citizenship and for outstanding achievement in English 11.
