Spencerport Fire Department recruitment event

Do you have a fire inside you? Have you ever thought about becoming a firefighter, providing help and protection to your friends and neighbors? Then stop by any of our fire stations on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and see what we do. Firefighters will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions for those interested in answering our call for help.

Since 1890, the Spencerport Volunteer Firemen’s Association has been answering calls for service in our community, staffed by firefighters that are 100 percent volunteer. By maintaining a 100 percent volunteer department, we all enjoy lower property taxes. Our department is always looking for committed men and women to join our ranks, so that we can continue that great tradition of service and dedication to our community.

There are several positions available for new members, from Interior Firefighter, Exterior Firefighter or Fire Police. We provide you with all of the necessary training to get into the action.

Come to any of our stations, located at 175 Lyell Avenue in Spencerport, the corner of West Ridge Road at Union Street in Parma or Station 3 at 2588 Union Street in Ogden. Introduce yourself and get to know your fire department. We would love to have you with us.
