First annual Brockstock held in conjunction with Sidewalk Sale

The weekend of July 10, 11 and 12 was busy in Downtown Brockport. The annual Sidewalk Sale brought many shoppers on Thursday for special deals. There was even more shopping and many vendors along Main Street on Friday and Saturday, with the MOMS Club offering children’s activities on Saturday.

New to the Sidewalk Sale festivities this year was Friday night’s Brockstock – a community event filled with fun, music, dancing, food, drinks and fireworks – which came about through a collaboration of merchants in the Brockport Merchants Association. Brockstock was held at the Welcome Center and parking lot, with a nice view of the canal. Two local warm-up bands performed, Nerds In Denial and Elements 36, followed by the Bob Greco Party Band. A Chinese Auction and event t-shirts and posters were also part of the festivities. The evening ended with an array of fireworks sponsored by Sunnking. Several hundred people of all ages came out for the event.

Brockstock was organized by Jimmy Z’s, along with Perri’s Pizza, Custom House, and Java Junction. Other supporters included Country Treasures, Lightways, Unique Gift Boutique, The Kratom Shop, Bicycle Outfitters, Joanne Bocach Realtor, Game Players, The Red Jug Pub, Lift Bridge Book Shop, Sigillo Chiropractic, Monarch Wealth Management and Next Level Barber Shop. The event was assisted by the Village of Brockport and DPW.

The Brockport Merchants Association is grateful for all the volunteers who organized and supported this event, and looks forward to next year.
