Arlene W. Hack

Gates – Friday, July 5, 2019. Arlene went home to be in peace with the lord at age 99. Predeceased by her husband, Harold, of 68 years of marriage. She is survived by three loving sons, David, Steven (Ellen) of Texas, and Tom (Peggy); grandchildren, Daniel and Stephanie, as well as many nieces and nephews. Arlene was born into a loving family of eight brothers and sisters. She was compassionate, warm, tenacious, the family historian and cornerstone. She always lived her life with great style and grace. Arlene attended Marshal University in West Virginia, and retired from the Electric Panel Board company, as office manager. She was an avid skier, and enjoyed golf, gardening, swimming, handicrafts, and playing the piano among her many favorite activities. Many who also knew Arlene also knew of her fond weakness for chocolates, especially “Wilbur Buds”. Arlene was a devoted member of her Methodist faith, being an active member of the West Avenue Methodist Church, and later the Elmgrove United Methodist Church (Rochester, New York). Arlene’s warm voice, smile, and warm compassionate heart will be greatly missed by all who knew, and touched her life. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service and Luncheon Get-Together, Saturday July 20th, 12:00 PM at the Elmgrove United Methodist Church, 1500 Spencerport Road, Rochester 14606.
