Brockport Kiwanis Club announces scholarship winner

The Brockport Kiwanis Club is a service organization working to enhance the quality of life for specific individuals in need as well as the community as a whole. The Brockport Kiwanis Leadership Scholarship is such an endeavor.

This scholarship was created to recognize the importance of leadership, community service, and citizenship. In order to qualify, the candidate must be a senior and a member of the Brockport High School Key Club for at least one year. Further, the applicant must complete five or more service hours, maintain a B average, and be accepted to an accredited college.

Finally, the applicant must provide a personal mission statement addressing why he/she best exemplifies the principles of leadership, service and citizenship.

This year’s winner of the Brockport Kiwanis Leadership Award is Anna Fisher. Anna plans on going to college and eventually entering the medical profession in pediatric oncology. She plans on playing softball while in college.
