Conjerti family of Hilton welcomes exchange student from Madrid, Spain

Maria Lucini from Madrid, Spain arrived August 6 to spend a school year with the Conjerti family of Hill Road in Hilton.  She shares a passion of horses and animals with Anna Conjerti and Anna, an only child, is really excited about having a sister. Maria will be attending Hilton High School.

Hilton High School would love to have more exchange students attending the school as it enriches the lives of its students by allowing them to learn about the cultures of other countries. It also helps certify the school as an International Baccalaureate participant. Jerry Wolf, a local coordinator for CIEE (Counsel On International Educational Exchange) and the father of Hilton High School Spanish teacher, Wendy Wolf, is working on helping the school reach its goal of having more International Exchange Students.

There are presently two boys and two girls that still have not been placed in a host family. The deadline for them to come to America to fulfill their dream of going to school here and living with a family to learn about American culture is the end of August. Host families must be 25 years of age or older and can be married and unmarried families and single parents, with and without children. For more information, contact Jerry Wolf athostwithciiee@gmail.com or by phone 585 734-5800. Jerry and his wife are hosting their tenth student and are enthusiastic about this life changing opportunity.

Students from Mexico and Brazil are awaiting placements.
