Churchville-Chili Board of Education vacancy notice

The Churchville-Chili Board of Education would like to inform its residents of a board member position vacancy. Board Member Sherry Johnson has announced her retirement as a board member to assume the position of Executive Director of the Monroe County School Board Association. The board and the district would like to acknowledge Sherry’s commitment, dedication and leadership during her eighteen years as a board member of the Churchville-Chili Central School District.

The Board is seeking a community member willing to fulfill this vacated role. Individuals interested must submit a letter of interest addressed to President Kathleen Dillon, no later than September 14 at her email address: kdillon@cccsd.org or you may mail a letter to her attention at the district office, 139 Fairbanks Road, Churchville, NY 14428. Candidates will be interviewed by the Board of Education with the hope of an anticipated appointment at the October 13 Board of Education meeting. The individual would fill the vacancy for the remainder of the 2015-16 school year.

In order to run for the Board of Education, a candidate must be: able to read and write; a qualified voter of the Churchville-Chili Central School District; at least 18 years of age; and a legal resident of the district for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year.
