Hilton CSD to hold Alumni Hall of Fame Induction

Hilton Central School District (HCSD) will induct three alumni into the Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday, September 30. This year’s inductees are: Ruth Herne Blodgett ‘72, award-winning author with over 30 published novels to date; Darren Lipomi, Ph.D. ‘01, associate professor, Dept. of NanoEngineering, University of California, San Diego; and Lieutenant Colonel Kyle D. Mullen ‘85, United States Air Force.

Since 1999 the HCSD Alumni Hall of Fame has inducted 46 members and honored them and their accomplishments with the installation of a wall of plaques in the Hilton High School auditorium.

The inductees will take part in a full day of activities at Hilton High School. The public is invited to attend the induction ceremony from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium followed by a community reception from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. in the foyer.

HCSD will also celebrate Homecoming on September 30. The parade begins at 5:45 p.m. at Quest Elementary School, 225 West Avenue, followed by the Hilton varsity football game versus Pittsford beginning at 7 p.m. at LeBeau Field. The inductees will be introduced before kickoff and will be doing the coin toss.

Hilton High School is located at 400 East Avenue, Hilton.
