Brockport reschedules community presentation of “I’m Not Racist … Am I?”

Brockport Central School District’s community presentation of “I’m Not Racist … Am I?” is rescheduled for Tuesday, March 28. The community is invited to join the Brockport Central School District Board of Education and administrative leaders to view and discuss the documentary at 6 p.m. in the Hill School cafeteria.

“I’m Not Racist … Am I?” is a documentary about how the next generation is going to confront racism. The film follows 12 teenagers from New York City who come together for one school year to talk about race and privilege in a series of workshops and conversations.

“We are excited to offer the community an opportunity to engage in discussion about race and inclusion in a diverse environment,” said Brockport Superintendent Dr. Lesli C. Myers. “Our Board of Education and leadership team will also be viewing the film and discussing ways in which we can continuously uphold our core belief of character: integrity, diversity and respect for all.”

If interested in attending the presentation and discussion, contact Brockport Central School District Clerk Stephanie Williams at stephanie.williams@bcs1.org or 637-1939 by March 27.
