Brockport High School welcomes new assistant principal

The Brockport Central School District Board of Education appointed Christina Wawrzyniak as probationary assistant principal at Brockport High School effective August 20. Wawrzyniak succeeds Jeremy Moore who was appointed principal at John F. Kennedy High School in the Cheektowaga-Sloan UFSD.

Wawrzyniak most recently served as assistant principal at Greece Arcadia High School. Prior to that she was a district interventionist, where she implemented Response to Intervention strategies and best instructional practices throughout the Greece Central School District. Wawrzyniak also served as a secondary inclusive education and mathematics instructional coach and taught mathematics for seven years.

“We’re thrilled to have Christina Wawrzyniak join the administrative team at Brockport High School,” said Brockport High School Principal Dr. Brian Weller. “She brings a wealth of experience as a teacher, instructional coach and administrator with her and has already been involved in building relationships with students, staff and families here this summer. We’re looking forward to the beginning of the school year and know she will be a great addition to our faculty.”

Wawrzyniak earned a master’s degree in educational leadership and a master’s degree in math/science/technology education from St. John Fisher College and received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Niagara University. She holds certifications in school administration, students with disabilities and secondary mathematics.
