On Friday, April 12, Brockport’s Ginther Elementary students had a fun-filled school day exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics in an annual STEAM Day event.
The day aims to spark an early passion for STEAM careers. “They love it,” explained Kelly Keenan, an instructional coach at the school. “It’s so different from what they’re doing in the classroom but they are such important skills that they don’t even know they’re learning which is kind of exciting.”
The hands-on activities included playing with robotics, learning about electricity, and lots of team building exercises.
