The Hilton Central School District has appointed Tina Colby as assistant principal at Village Elementary School. She replaces Aubrey Krenzer, who accepted a position as director of curriculum and instruction for the York Central School District. Colby is currently serving as interim assistant principal and will officially begin her new position on July 1.

Colby has worked as a school counselor for grades K-6 at Village Elementary for the past eight years. Prior to joining the Hilton School District, Colby was a prevention educator and crisis counselor in the Spencerport School District for four years.

Colby has a B.S. in Health Science with a Concentration in Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling, M.S. Ed. in School Counseling, and Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from The College at Brockport. She also has a Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University.

“I am proud to continue my career in a district that places emphasis on supporting not just the academic growth of students, but also their social emotional well-being,” said Colby. “I am honored to serve as the assistant principal and work collaboratively with all staff to provide our students with a truly rigorous and enriching elementary experience.”

Colby is a native of Rochester and currently lives in West Irondequoit with her husband, Justin, and their children Addy, 11, and Bryson, 4.
