Hilton musicians selected for Roberts Wesleyan Honors Band

Eleven Hilton High School instrumentalists were accepted to participate in the 17th Annual Roberts Wesleyan Honors Band Festival October 18 through 20. Dr. Paul Shewan, director of Instrumental Studies at Roberts Wesleyan College and frequent guest conductor of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, conducts the Honors Band.

Similar to the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Conference, students spend the entire weekend on the Roberts campus and have the opportunity to participate in extensive rehearsals, sectionals and master classes. The festival culminates with an hour-long concert on Sunday, October 20 at 2:30 p.m. in the Hale Auditorium (Cultural Life Center). The concert is free and open to the public.
