Bright Raven’s Level 4 gymnastics team competed in the USA Gymnastics Upstate New York Championships held in Rochester May 31-June 1 where six members of the team were named Champions by taking first place in either all around or individual events in their respective age divisions.
Nine-year-old Bria Danesi of Greece competed in the Child C Division and earned first place in vault (9.475). Kylie Rozzie of Spencerport competed in the same division and took third place on balance beam (9.425), floor exercise (9.375) and all around (37.325).
In the Junior B Division, Gracie Vieira of Churchville earned second place on vault (9.35). Madison Maas of Churchville took first place on balance beam (9.85) and second all around (36.55) in the Junior C Division.
In the Senior C Division, Hannah Cuzzupoli of Spencerport took second all around (37.00), and third place on both vault (9.3) and bars (9.55). Bailee Schirano of Spencerport took first place on balance beam (9.65) and third all around (36.925). Rebecca Dorgan of Spencerport earned a gold medal on floor (9.275) and a silver on beam (9.60). In the Senior B Division, Mya Fisher of Rochester earned second place all around (37.10), second on bars (9.525) and third on floor (9.075). Kaylin Keenan of Caledonia placed second on balance beam (9.50).
With 28 teams represented at this final meet of the season, Bright Raven took second place.
