Brockport CSD adds five new members to Athletic Wall of Honor

Brockport Central School District will add five new names to its Athletic Wall of Honor. Inductees for 2015 include: Tom Beck (BHS Class of 1984), Nancy Beck Begier (BHS Class of 1985), Chris Bourne (Brockport’s Director of Athletics and Physical Education from 1997-2014), Scott Fake (BHS Physical Education Teacher and soccer and swim coach from 1975-2011) and Jeff Rogers (BHS Class of 1984). The district is very proud to recognize these community leaders for the impact they have made on the Interscholastic Athletic program and on the lives of Brockport student athletes.

This year’s Athletic Wall of Honor Induction Ceremony will take place at the A.D. Oliver Middle School, 40 Allen Street on September 11. The community is invited to attend the ceremony, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., preceded by a social gathering in the cafeteria, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Inductees will visit the Wall of Honor following the ceremony. At 7:30 p.m., all attendees are invited to the night’s Varsity football game, taking place at the Dahn Walrath Memorial Stadium. There the new Wall of Honor inductees will again be acknowledged during halftime.

Wall of Honor nominees can be an athlete, coach, administrator, community member or role model who has made a difference for the BCSD Interscholastic Athletic Program. Criteria for selection include bravery, honor, service, support, teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication to the program. Each honoree is recognized on the Wall of Honor with a plaque, which includes their picture and biography.
