Blue Devils netters win fourth consecutive match

Twice in two days the Brockport Blue Devils swept all three doubles matches and took fourth singles to both times eke out 4-3 wins over Eastridge in boy’s tennis.

In the fourth consecutive victory the first doubles team of freshmen Matt Bissanti and Sam Bonisteel won their match in straight sets while the second doubles squad of freshman Nathan Grego and senior Nate Riexinger won 6-2, 6-1.

The team of freshman Xavier Markle and eighth-grader Mark Rennie had little trouble in defeating their third doubles opponent 6-0, 6-1. Brockport freshman Ethan Miller won via forfeit.

One day prior Bissanti and Bonisteel rebounded from a first set defeat to win 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Markle and Rennie won 6-2, 6-4 at second doubles while senior Julian Beltran and junior Alex Bieler took their third doubles match 6-2, 6-1. Grego won at fourth singles by forfeit.

The winning streak improves the Blue Devils record to 6-4 after an 0-2 start to the campaign.
