“Spencerport Student-Athletes Care” Community/Volunteer Projects

Each Spencerport varsity athletic team participated in a volunteer community service/charity project through the Spencerport Student-Athletes Care Program during the 2018-19 spring season.

This spring the Rangers varsity athletic teams have performed a variety of projects:

•Baseball – hosted “Youth Clinic” for Spencerport Jr. Baseball and participated in the Opening Day Parade

•Softball – participated in Spencerport Junior Baseball Opening Day Parade

•Boys Track – volunteered at Foodlink Pantry

•Girls Track – volunteered at Foodlink Pantry

•Boys Tennis – volunteered during Spencerport Mobile Foodlink Pantry

•Golf – participated in Spencerport’s “Pat Chapman Day of Caring”

•Girls Lacrosse – participated in “Be The Match” Blood Drive Campaign

•Boys Lacrosse – hosted Ranger Laxfest “More Than A Game” – donated over $2,000 to Golisano Children’s Hospital.

The Spencerport Student-Athletes Care Program won the 1994 National Award of Excellence for Community Relations from Athletic Management Magazine.
