Michael and Patricia O’Mealia of Hamlin, along with Wayne and Dorothy Smythe of Pasadena, Maryland are pleased to announce the engagement of their children Shannon O’Mealia and Shane Smythe.
Shannon is a 2006 graduate of Brockport High School. In 2010, she earned a BS degree in education from SUNY Fredonia. Shannon received her master’s degree in literacy education from St. John Fisher College in 2011. She is employed by Prince Georges County Public Schools.
Shane is a 2005 graduate of Chesapeake High School. He earned a BS degree in information systems from Towson University in 2012. He is employed by Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
An August 2015 wedding is planned.
