AREA: Royer, Ruth B., of Webster, died on June 30, 2026, at age 79. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Wilbur Berridge; sister, Barbara; and brother, Bill. She is survived by her sister, Mary; her husband of 60 years, Herbert Royer; sons, Steven (Heather), Scott; and granddaughters, Jenna, Rachael, and Julia. Ruth earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brockport College. She was an Elementary School Teacher in the Greece Central School District, where she was an important influence in the education of many students for over 30 years.

BERGEN: Zastrocky, John “Zeke” Jr., passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, Florida, on June 24, 2026, at the honorable age of 94.
Zeke’s remarkable legacy lives on through his large and deeply loved family. He is survived by his children: Thomas Zastrocky, Barbara Barons, David (Debe) Zastrocky, Donna (Mike) Brown, Susan (Rick) Hubbard, and Ronald (Barbara) Zastrocky. He was the immensely proud grandfather of 21 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind several close nieces, nephews, and dear, lifelong friends who were a constant source of joy and support throughout his life.

Zeke was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Leathersich) Zastrocky; his brother, Michael Zastrocky; his sisters, Stella Maddock, Mary Hehn, and Catherine Snyder; and three infant children.
Born in Caledonia, New York, to the late John and Anna Zastrocky, Zeke attended school through the eighth grade before dedicating himself to working on the family farm. Though he later ventured into the corporate world—holding positions at Suburban Propane and Jell-O while continuing to farm on the side—he ultimately realized that his true passion belonged to the land. Over his lifetime, Zeke’s dedication and extraordinary work ethic allowed him to expand his operations to over 2,000 acres of farmland. He held himself to the highest standards and proudly instilled that same fierce work ethic into everyone who worked alongside him.
A deeply community-minded man, Zeke was a former Chief and lifetime member of the Bergen Fire Department. He was also a dedicated member of the Bergen Grange, the Loyal Order of Odd Fellows, the Masons, the American Legion, and the Moose Club. Even after retiring from full- time farming, Zeke refused to slow down. He maintained his active lifestyle by helping local area farmers, cutting his own firewood, gardening, and mastering woodworking.
Zeke’s ashes will be interred at the convenience of the family.
Brockport: Beehler, George T., passed unexpectedly on July 5, 2026, at the age of 67. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Ruth (O’Connor) Beehler.
He is survived by the pride and joy of his life, daughter, Katie “Stretch” Beehler (Jon Marrese) and bonus daughter, Amanda Lanzatella; his best friend and constant companion, “Grunt”, dearest friend and ex-wife, Laura; brothers, Michael (Karla) Beehler and Timothy (Carol) Beehler; special nephews, Mark (Karrie) Beehler and their amazing kids, Brielle and Brennan, and Brian (Justin Hebert) Beehler, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
George loved all sports, especially soccer and the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed bullhead fishing in spring and going on daily adventures with Grunt. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and many friends.
Per George’s wishes, there will be no service. A celebration of life to be held in the future.
HAMLIN/ALBION: McClemmon, Joyce A., born April 16, 1958, died on July 4, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Ruby Southard, and her brother, David Southard. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Darryl McClemmon; her children, Stacey (Randy) Williams, Kyle McClemmon, and Andrew (Charon) McClemmon; nine grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence (Leslie) Southard and Janet (Terry) Costenbader; and many nieces and nephews.

HILTON: Marron, John Nicholas, died July 2, 2026, at age 40. He is survived by his loving wife, Jenna Curry; parents, Holly and Don Marron; sisters, Courtney (Bryce) Whitehead, Megan (Stephen) Smagula, and Chelsea (Jonathan) Zonneville; nieces and nephew, Anna, Brooklyn, Emery, William, and Brynn; his dogs, Sparks and Grey; parents-in-law, Janet and Michael Curry; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jillian (Jeffrey) Steinel, Joseph (Reanna) Curry, and Jason (Caroline) Curry; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. John was predeceased by his grandparents, Diane and Vince DiSano, Donald Shilling, and Robert and Velma Marron. In April, John married the love of his life, Jenna Curry, solidifying the beautiful chapter of their life together, full of endless love and unending support for each other. Their too short time together was filled with adventures, hikes, cross-country road trips, and a million dreams for the future. John enjoyed running. He had trained for multiple races, with a particular favorite of his being an ultramarathon on Antelope Island with his dog, Grey, at his side. John was a huge sports fan. His favorite teams were the Baltimore Orioles, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres through every season. He enjoyed working on cars with his Dad and had a remarkable ability to fix just about anything.

KENDALL: Williams, Richard J. “Rich,” died July 3, 2026, at age 64. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Loraine Williams. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Jill Radtke Williams; children, Richard (Casey) Williams and Donald (Felicia) Williams; grandchildren, Lillian, Emma, Paetyn, Makaela, and Blake; sisters, Dawn (Donnie) Peake and Denise Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Rich was the owner of Rich Williams and Sons Hardwood Floors in Kendall. He was a man with a heart of gold. He was a husband, father, grandfather, mentor, friend, and coach. He loved hunting, fishing, and racing 4-wheelers.

SPENCERPORT: Nellis-Ewell, Carol Jean (Christof), age 79, died July 5, 2026. Carol was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Harry Palmer Ewell, and her parents, Gaberial and Evalyn Christof. She is survived by her son, Paul and Michelle Nellis; grandchildren, Cody (Amanda) Nellis, Marissa (Seth) Michaud, Sean Nellis; great-grandchild, Mason Michaud; brother, David (Cathy) Christof; in-laws, Carol and Charlie Salvaggio. Harry and Carol enjoyed over 50 trips and visited 15 countries in Africa. Africa became their passion, and they opened an African Craft store in Spencerport over 25 years ago. Somehow, she found the time to serve as a village trustee, current Deputy Mayor, and serve on the Kiwanis board, the Spencerport senior living board, and many improvement projects. She also managed to write two children’s books. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild, frequently attending their events and checking in with them by text. Carol was very simple but compassionate about always helping and volunteering. One of her favorite sayings was, “Always try and do at least one good thing a day, no matter how small.”

SPENCERPORT: Ryan, Joseph E., died June 30, 2026, at age 95. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion (2020). He is survived by his children, Robert (Debra) Ryan, Colleen (David) Jenks, Linda (Scott) Barnard, and Christine (Joel) Zastrow; nine grandchildren, Mike (Danielle) Ryan, Patrick (Natasha) Ryan, Richard (Theresa) Ryan, Tessa Jenks, Cori (Keith) Monahan, Jarod (Allison) Barnard, Julia Zastrow, Maggie Zastrow, and Leah Zastrow; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean (Tom) Brook and Agnes (Jack) Forsythe; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He retired from Rochester Telephone after many years of dedicated service. In retirement, he embraced the simple pleasures of life, golfing, tending to his garden, and enjoying friendly games of Euchre with family and friends. He was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan.

SPENCERPORT: John Joseph Warburton, affectionately known as “Bondo,” of Spencerport, New York, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at 5:15 a.m., following a long and courageous illness. He was 67 years old.
John was born in Rochester, New York, on November 24, 1958, to Charles (“Chuck”) and Therese Warburton. He was the sixth child and third son in a close-knit family.
Growing up, John faced challenges with dyslexia, making school difficult during a time when learning disabilities were not well understood. Despite those obstacles, he approached life with determination, independence, and resilience. He entered the U.S. Army at age 18 but was medically discharged during basic training. He later found work as an auto body painter, where he put his skills and creativity to use restoring automobiles.
John had a free spirit and a love for adventure. He enjoyed traveling, hitchhiking, meeting people, and taking on a variety of jobs that reflected his independent nature. In the late 1990s, he moved to Lake County, Florida, to be closer to family, where he remained for the rest of his life.
He worked at JR Auto Repair until a tragic hit-and-run accident left him permanently disabled.
Even after this life-changing event, John continued to find comfort in being surrounded by those who loved him. He spent his later years in Sorrento, Florida, with his younger brother Mark and his nephews Chris and Daniel Kaminska, whose love and care meant so much to him. John was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Therese Warburton; his sister, Fran Kaminska; and his brother, Ed Warburton. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Marty (Anthony) Yokawonis of Sorrento, Florida; Paula Lavender of Holley, New York; Michelle (Gary) Strassner of Blackey, Kentucky; and his brothers, Ronald Warburton and Mark P. Warburton of Clermont, Florida.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Lisa Brongo and her children Madilynn, Mitchell, Marshall, and Michael; Pamela (Nate) Burnes and their children Kyla, Emma, and Colton; Josh (Paola Vargas) Strassner and their children Sofia and Katie; Melissa Strassner, her daughter Alexis, and granddaughter Arabella; Jason Strassner; Melinda (Everett) Crowl; Hunter Marie Crowl and her children Emika and Nayeli; Camden Crowl; and Daniel and Christopher Kaminska.
John will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his sense of humor, and the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though he faced many challenges throughout his life, his family will always cherish the memories they shared with him and find comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
SPENCERPORT: Mark Patrick Warburton, also known as Maddog, 63, passed away on July 3, 2026.
Mark was born on June 25, 1963, in Rochester, New York, and grew up in Spencerport, where he attended St. John the Evangelist Grade School and Spencerport High School.
After graduating, Mark spent a year studying to be a funeral director at a mortuary school. He left before completing his studies and returned home. His sister and brother-in-law offered to take him to Florida to train as a carpenter, which Mark gladly accepted. He moved to Central Florida when he was 19 years old.

He spent most of his adult life in Sorrento, Florida. When his mother passed in 2005, he became the caregiver to his nephews, Christopher and Daniel Kaminska. He and his brother John raised his nephews and remained a steady presence in their lives throughout the years.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Charles D. Warburton (1999) and Therese Warburton (2005); his sister, Francis “Fran” Kaminska (2008); and his brothers, Edward “Grateful Ed” Warburton (2021) and John “Bondo” Warburton (2026).
He is survived by his siblings, Martha (Tony) Yokawonis, Paula Lavender, Michelle (Gary) Strassner, and Ronald Warburton; his nephews, Christopher and Daniel Kaminska; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Mark enjoyed working with his hands, helping others when he could, and spending time with family and dear friends like Dr. Matt and Milania Smith and their family. He will be remembered for his stories, sense of humor, reliability, craftsmanship, and the close relationships he maintained throughout his life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
SPENCERPORT: Zingerella, Marie V., died July 3, 2026, at age 91. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob; brothers, Richard Ruffo, Ronnie Ruffo, and David Ruffo; and grandson, Robbie Sobel. She is survived by her daughters, Marie Sobel, Denise (David) DeBellis, and Vicki Seiple; brothers, John (Bobbi) Ruffo, Danny (Martha) Ruffo; grandchildren, Deanna DeBellis, Gina DeBellis, Mariah (Anthony) Polizzi, Sabrina (Eric) Ziegler, David DeBellis, Anthony DeBellis, Jayme Seiple, Josh Seiple, Jake Seiple; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Marie and Bob opened their first Ben Franklin retail store in Avon in 1962 and later opened their second location in Geneseo. In 1974, they moved to Spencerport, where they opened another Ben Franklin store in the village, followed by another in the village of Hilton, and a Ben Franklin craft store in Gates. Marie loved her family deeply, and her brothers were her best friends. She loved to laugh, crack jokes, and was extremely quick-witted.
