Sweden/Clarkson Community Center will be used for early voting

New York State enacted the practice of early voting beginning with the general election held in November 2019. Monroe County voters were able to go to the polls on nine days ahead of the November 5, 2019 election, however there were limited polling places. For 2020, the Monroe County Board of Elections is seeking to increase the number of polling sites for early voting.

The Sweden Town Board has agreed to allow the Sweden/Clarkson Community Center, 4927 Lake Road, to be an early polling site for the April primaries. Voting will take place for nine days prior to the primary day, April 28, 2020 during various hours established by the Monroe County Board of Elections. Any registered Monroe County voter will be able to vote at any early voting site. Voters will have to vote at their assigned polling place on regular voting days. The Sweden/Clarkson Community Center has been a regular polling site for many years.
