Susan Lynn Bellor

•Bellor, Susan Lynn (Morrison), Spencerport/Albion:: Susan Lynn (Morrison) Bellor, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, October 24, 2015 after an expeditious and triumphant battle with an aggressively rare form of thyroid cancer. Throughout her short battle, Susan was tenderly cared for by her adoring husband, Jim.

Susan was born in Rochester, NY on May 12, 1957. She was the first child, and only daughter, of Edward and Nancy (Yeomans) Morrison. She attended Greece Arcadia High School, where she graduated in 1974 and continued onto Inter Couffer School of Beauty, graduating one year later. Upon graduation, she started her lengthy cosmetology career at various salons before opening her own salon in the late 80s; Performing Hair in Spencerport.

Susan was a staple in her small storefront, spending countless hours doing exactly what she loved. All of Performing Hair customers were always more than just clients: they were friends and an extension of her family. There was only one thing Susan loved more than doing hair, and that was her family. When not working or with family, she enjoyed traveling, shopping, cruising, spending time with friends or just being with her beloved Yorkie, Margie. Susan was a kind and giving woman. She spent every summer assisting with the planning, set-up and execution of the Tim Milgate Charity Golf Tournament, and thought nothing of hopping on a plane to assist with her children’s charity events as well. Much of Susan’s focus in life was on making those around her happy, that’s where she found her greatest joy.

Susan is survived by her husband, James Whitehead; two sons, Daniel (Julieann) and Michael (Lindsey); step-daughter, Amanda (Ronald Harmer III); three grandchildren, Ethan, Leah, and Carter; parents, Edward and Nancy Morrison; brother, David (Marianne Luther) Morrison.

Susan was welcomed into heaven by many family and friends, but none more welcoming than her granddaughter Jamie Bellor.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Tuesday, October 27 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc at 340 West Ave, Brockport, NY 14420. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, October 28 at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church at 3350 Union Street, North Chili, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the following charitable organizations: Golisano Children’s Hospital (mention the following in the memo: Cheshire Milgate Charity Golf Tournament) or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
