Hilton Education Foundation’s Comedy Night Under the Stars Jan. 24

The Hilton Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser – Comedy Night Under the Stars – is set for Saturday, January 24 and promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s sold out event. This year’s Comedy Night will be held at Deerfield Country Club in Brockport and will feature Rochester’s premier Cabaret Duo of Phyl Contestable, also known as the Reverend Mother, and Alan Jones.

The duo started at the Changing Scene revolving restaurant in downtown Rochester for what was supposed to be a two-week contract – they left four years later. They have since performed as the opening act for Bill Cosby, Rich Little and Jackie Mason and have been guest artists with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Brockport Symphony.

Alan Jones is the director of choral music at Spencerport High School and NYS School Music Association’s Sectional Festival Committee Vocal Jazz chairperson. Contestible is a general music specialist at Churchville-Chili Intermediate School.

The evening also features comedy by Hilton High School’s own Tuesday Night Live, a silent auction and refreshments. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 presale and $15 at the door. To purchase tickets online, visit www.hiltoneducationfoundation.org/comedynight.html or stop by Summit Federal Credit Union, 41 Hovey Square, or Hilton Family Pharmacy, 32 Main Street, in Hilton.
